Sequential displacement without origin

Alain Satié completed the Sequential displacement without origin series in 2004. The topic of these canvasses is an uninterrupted flow of evolution without beginning or end. The white page of the artist takes life, changes, grows, is colored, until a hypergraphic sign appears. It is radiant and it dissolves until it disappears from where it came from. Perhaps the anecdotic evolution resembles the cycle of life and death, passing from one to the other harmoniously, unless one understands the series differently: discernible, fixed, sure of itself. From its hypergraphic sign, the progression can be carried out towards its destruction, for in the final analysis, like the Phoenix it will die only to be reborn. In all the cases, these paintings live only in relation to the preceding one and the following one.
