Controlled and relaunched infinitesimal art

In 1971, Alain Satié proposed a prolongation of Isidore Isou's imaginary art in an innovative esthetic structure, controlled and relaunched infinitesimal art, applicable to arts that he presents in For a Better Future in Written in Prose or The Hypergraphic Work (PSI Editions).

Alain Satié refers to the precepts of infinitesimal art, in particular the idea that a work does not exist as such, but only through its substances which must move us, in a conscious or subconscious way, selected to direct the spectator in the direction of his personal preoccupations.

For that he imposes an orderly spiritual advance, not on the figurative objects that have been made before him by the other members of the movement, but on his own stylistics, in particular by indicating to the viewer by signs a new possible imaginary vision arises. This interactive aspect of infinitesimal art - necessary for the participation of viewers - supports a close connection between the artist and the viewer.
