The shadows

1969, first hypergraphic paintings with counterfeit shadows and their concluding necessity. In 1969 Alain Satié shows the shadows by the tricks of hollows and purely pictorial relief, consequently as counterfeits, but they contribute to the legibility of the whole. The atmosphere becomes visible, the air is palpable, material. He takes into account the double nature which subjects life, being and objects in two contradictory parts, traditionally opposed, the diurnal and the nocturnal.

Then, after 1970, with painted wood cutouts, he really creates a great quantity of projections of forms, multiplying doubling produced by the play of light, creating a new wildly augmented space, which only exists as a function of the organization of the signs in space.
